The Association of Doctoral candidates and Doctors of Alsace organises the 2nd edition of Career Symposium in Strasbourg on June 27th, 2018. It will be an afternoon pf conferences and discussions dedicated to scientific writing and communication for PhDs. Students can get a validation for their socio-professional hours!

Problematic:

Half a day symposium about research career development with a focus on how to improve written and oral communication skills when preparing a thesis, a paper, an abstract, or any other scientific communication.

Goals :

The goal of this symposium is to provide PhD candidates and young postdocs with all the information which would enable them to proactively plan their academic writings, may it be a PhD thesis or a scientific paper. Moreover, we aim at making PhD candidates aware of the importance of science communication (how to be clear orally and send the right message).

To achieve this goal, we have invited eminent researchers from diverse fields and at various positions for panel discussions and a networking cocktail. We invite you to join us for this event and proactively engage with successful researchers in an informal environment, ask questions and learn from their experiences.
